Council Renames Fire Station in Honor of Lt. Robert Best Sr.

Melbourne Fire Station 75 has been renamed in honor of Lieutenant Robert Best Sr., a lifelong Melbourne resident who dedicated his life to serving the community and made history as the first African American lieutenant in the Melbourne Fire Department.

The Melbourne City Council has been proactive in dedicating a portion of property taxes to roadway maintenance and roadway care. This helps keep our roads in good shape and minimizes disruption to our residents, businesses.

Fire Hydrant Flushing and Inspections Continue

City Services Feature: Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun sport for people of all ages and athletic ability. Three of our recreation centers offer indoor pickleball courts like this one where Megan plays. We also maintain 24 outdoor courts at Jimmy Moore Park. City employees are proud to maintain places like these where people from all walks of life can get together, get moving and have fun.
