Emergency Notifications
The City of Melbourne is now using the AlertBrevard messaging system to distribute time-sensitive messages and critical community alerts, particularly about our water service.
Residents and businesses can sign up to receive emergency notifications via home, mobile, or business phone; text message; and/or email.
Need Help?
If you cannot register online, you can call the City's ECO Division at 321-608-5080 and speak with someone who can register for you.
About AlertBrevard
AlertBrevard is the same Everbridge mass notification system that Brevard County Emergency Management uses to send out alerts regarding emergencies, such as hurricanes. It allows the City of Melbourne and Brevard County to contact thousands of residents in seconds.
How It Works
- Sign up for AlertBrevard online.
- Add your preferred contact information and set quiet hours.
- The City of Melbourne, and Brevard County, will send emergency alerts directly to your phone or email.
City of Melbourne Water Customers
Contact information from all City of Melbourne utility customer accounts will be added on a regular basis to the AlertBrevard system.
Please note that this is only the contact information associated with the account and does not include all members of the household. For example, the account data would not include contact information for the account holder’s spouse. It also would not include a rental property owner if the utility account is in the renter’s name.
To ensure you are receiving all emergency notifications, please sign up for AlertBrevard. The system will automatically remove duplicates.
Former CodeRED Subscribers
The City of Melbourne no longer uses CodeRED for emergency notifications.
If you had subscribed to CodeRED and would like to continue to receive emergency notifications from the City of Melbourne, please sign up for AlertBrevard. We were not able to transfer CodeRED subscribers to the new AlertBrevard system.
