Temporary Change in Water Treatment Scheduled Jan. 5 - Jan. 26, 2026

Beginning January 5, 2026, and continuing through January 26, 2026, Melbourne water customers may notice a chlorine odor in their tap water. During this period, the City of Melbourne will be temporarily changing its water disinfection method. This temporary change in water chemistry will not affect the safety of water for drinking.

The left westbound lane of University Blvd. just west of Lipscomb St. will be closed Friday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Joseph N. Davis Community Center Closed November 13

The Joseph N. Davis Community Center will be temporarily closed on November 13 for repairs to the women’s locker room water lines.

Historic and Architectural Review Board Meeting and Public Workshop

November 19, 2025

The Historic and Architectural Review Board recommends local historic designations and regulates and administers historical, cultural, archaeological and architectural resources in the City of Melbourne. A public workshop will be held immediately after the regular meeting to gather ideas and input on the design and content of an interpretive sign for Line Street Cemetery.

Planning and Zoning Board Meeting

The Planning and Zoning Board meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber.

Beautification and Energy Efficiency Board

November 21, 2025

The Beautification and Energy Efficiency Board identifies and makes recommendations to the City Council concerning affordable strategies associated with conservation, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. Meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at 2 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber.
