Eau Gallie Civic Center

The Eau Gallie Civic Center is a multi-use facility with two reception rooms up to 8,000 square feet with divider, food-warming kitchen, and gymnasium. The Eau Gallie Civic Center is a recreational facility hosting classes, athletics, and special events. This facility is also available for rentals up to 600 or 700 auditorium style.

Aikido Self Protection

Mondays and Thursdays: 6:45 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The martial art of the 21st century!  A powerful method of self-defense that requires only leverage, not strength.  Overcome any attack with minimum effort because skill, not size, is your advantage.

Cost per month: $45 resident/$54 non-resident

American Kenpo Karate

Thursdays: 5 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. for ages 5 years and older; 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. for ages 10 years and older

Start Dates: March 3 – March 31 

A focused martial art that stresses situational awareness and the practice of self-defense techniques. This class consists of combination drills, pad work, katas, and sparring to enhance your physical and mental abilities in martial arts.

Cost per month (4 classes): $30 resident/$36 non-resident

Bingo — Melbourne Police Athletic League (PAL)

Wednesdays: 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. 

Join us for Bingo! Play a variety of games including letter X, kite, letter T, block of 9, outside frame, and more! Bingo cards go on sale at 11 a.m. Bingo begins promptly at 12 p.m.

Cost: one card: $5; two cards: $10; three cards: $15

Bone Builders

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Bone Builders is a FREE strength training and health education program offered through Aging Matters in Brevard’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Participants lift weights to improve their bone and muscle strength while also working to better their balance. Certified instructors will also discuss important topics related to bone health and nutrition. Space is limited, and registration is required in advance.  Contact the RSVP office at (321) 631-2749 to sign up today.

Line Dancing

Tuesdays:

  • Beginners (Little or no line dance experience required.): 6 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
  • Improver (This class is for experienced dancers not quite ready to tackle intermediate dance.): 6:45 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Intermediate (Experienced line dancers will have mastered a range of step patterns and movements.): 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $5/class

Pickleball

Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, ping-pong, and racquetball.

Yoga Fit

Mondays and Thursdays: 10 a.m. – 10:55 a.m.

Yoga Fit is a class designed for beginner to intermediate fitness levels, but all levels are welcome.

  • Friday - Sunday, Full Day (9 a.m. - 12 a.m.): Resident $398 + tax, Non-Resident $478 + tax
  • Monday - Thursday, Three-Hour Block: Resident $120 + tax, Non-Resident $144 + tax

Large Room (5,800 sq. ft.)

  • Friday - Sunday, Full Day (9 a.m. - 12 a.m.): Resident $635 + tax, Non-Resident $762 + tax
  • Monday - Thursday, Three-Hour Block: Resident $195 + tax, Non-Resident $234 + tax

Both Rooms (8,000 sq. ft.)

  • Friday - Sunday, Full Day (9 a.m. - 12 a.m.): Resident $877 + tax, Non-Resident $1,052 + tax

Refund/Transfer Policy

The participant must initiate all requests for refund/transfer of fees. Parks and Recreation will provide a “Request for Refund” form to individuals when they request a refund or transfer. Refunds take approximately three to four weeks to process. The form must be completed, signed, dated and returned to the Recreation Office at the Community Center where the class was located in accordance with the refund schedules:

  • Class/Athletic Fees/Summer Camp/Swim Lessons: Refund requests must be received in the Recreation office at least seven days before the starting date of the class or program. There will be a $5 per class/program administrative charge on all refunds.
  • Memberships/Passes/Daily Fees/Activities, and Special Events/Shows: No refunds.
