During last night’s City Council meeting, Mayor Paul Alfrey presented Peter Kostrzewa a Volunteer Milestone of Service Award to honor and recognize his 35 years of service on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Mr. Kostrzewa was initially appointed to the Zoning Board of Adjustment in May 1991 following his service on the Brevard County Planning and Zoning Board. He recently retired from a career as a software engineer where he worked for several companies in Brevard County.

In presenting the award to Mr. Kostrzewa, Mayor Alfrey noted the important role that volunteer board members play in city government and the value of Mr. Kostrzewa’s institutional knowledge.
