New Emergency Notification Service for Melbourne Water Customers

The City of Melbourne is now using the AlertBrevard messaging system to distribute time-sensitive messages and critical community alerts, particularly about our water service. 

Emergency notifications may be delivered by phone call, text message, and/or email. 

If you live or work in the City of Melbourne's water service area, please enroll using your local address to ensure you receive an alert if there is an emergency with your water service.

How to Enroll

  • Sign up for AlertBrevard online.
  • If you cannot register online, you can call the City's ECO Division at 321-608-5080 and speak with someone who can register for you.

Melbourne’s Water Distribution Service Area

The City of Melbourne provides water service to residents and businesses in:

  • Indialantic
  • Indian Harbour Beach
  • Melbourne
  • Melbourne Beach
  • Melbourne Village
  • Palm Shores
  • Satellite Beach
  • Unincorporated Brevard South of Pineda Causeway (Suntree and Viera are served by the Cocoa water system - not Melbourne.)

CodeRED No Longer in Use

The City of Melbourne is no longer using the CodeRED service for emergency notifications. If you had subscribed to CodeRED and would like to continue to receive emergency notifications from the City of Melbourne, please sign up for AlertBrevard. We were not able to transfer CodeRED subscribers to the new AlertBrevard system.
