MelBOOM 4th of July Celebration: Fireworks, Food Trucks, Live Music

The City of Melbourne is planning a “blast” of an event for the Fourth of July celebration fireworks display — an experience that thousands of citizens and guests look forward to each year at Front Street Park (2210 Front Street).

Schedule
- 4 p.m.: Food trucks open
- 5:30 p.m.: Char Good performs live
- 6:45 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.: Hot Pink performs live
- 8:58 p.m.: Singing of the National Anthem by Rozlyn Pell
- 9 p.m.: Fireworks start (weather permitting)
Security is provided by Cornerstone Protective Services.
Food Trucks
The following food trucks will open at 4 p.m. at Front Street Park:
- Better Call Dogs
- Strong Island Ice Cream
- Tasty Freeze 2.0
- Kona Ice
- Ray's Kettle Corn
- Hunnyz Wingz
- Wassi
- The Hangry Spartan
- Gran Arepa
Southern Ice will be open at Riverview Park at 1 p.m.
Family-Friendly Vendors
Face painting, novelty item sales and official MelBOOM t-shirts designed by Derek Gores ($10 donation) while supplies last will be located by the gazebo.
Drop Water will be available for $3 per bottle.
Parking
Attendees are encouraged to park at Melbourne Auditorium (at 625 Hibiscus Boulevard) and use a free shuttle service to Front Street Park. Three buses will run continuously from 7 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. Bus service will resume after the fireworks show and will run until 11 p.m. An ADA accessible bus will be available at the Melbourne Auditorium.
No parking is allowed on the portion of the causeway that is in the City of Melbourne. Please note that some businesses do not allow public parking. Those businesses may have your vehicle towed from their private properties at your expense even if they are not open for business on July 4.
Road Closures
The following roads will close at 8 p.m. and will remain closed until approximately 10 p.m., depending on the time it takes for pedestrians to safely exit the park:
- Strawbridge Avenue (U.S. 192) from U.S. 1 to Riverside Drive (Indialantic)
- New Haven Avenue from the east side of the Mansion’s driveway to Strawbridge Avenue
- Riverview Drive at Palmetto Avenue
- Front Street at Melbourne Avenue
Restrooms
Public restrooms will be located outside of the Front Street Civic Center and port-o-lets in the north parking lot.
There will not be public restrooms available inside the Front Street Civic Center because it will be closed to the general public for a VIP sponsor reception.
Boat Ramp Closure
The boat ramp at Front Street Park will be closed at 5 p.m. on July 3 and will reopen at 9 a.m. on July 5.
Canopies/Tents Not Allowed
Canopies and tents will not be allowed at Front Street Park because they block the view for other spectators.
