Freeze Damage Continues to Affect Yard Waste Collection Service

Published on June 10, 2026

Two trash cans filled with leaves and other loose yard debris and placed in the right of way.

Please be advised that due to the recent freeze, yard waste volumes continue to be significantly higher than normal. This may result in service delays. We recommend residents avoid creating large piles of yard waste and instead follow the steps below.

Yard waste in containers is collected curbside on your bulk collection day.

To ensure your yard waste is collected in the fastest way possible, please follow these steps:

  1. Bundle It: Bundles must weigh less than 50 pounds and be no longer than 4 feet. Branches may not be larger than 3 inches in diameter.
  2. Contain It: You may use 40-gallon (or smaller) personal containers that weigh less than 50 pounds when filled.

Carts and materials must be placed at least three feet from each other, mailboxes and other obstacles or structures.

Important Reminder

Private contractors and landscapers are required by city code to haul all debris away after landscaping or land clearing.
