On December 20, 2025, at approximately 1412 hours, the Melbourne Police Department received a call for a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Strawbridge Avenue and Pine Street.
The crash investigation shows the vehicle, a gray Dodge Charger, was traveling west on Strawbridge Avenue at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway striking a concrete pole and metal chain link fence. The vehicle came to rest on the north side of the roadway next to a retention pond. The driver was located inside the vehicle. As officers arrived on scene, they determined the driver to be deceased.
