On January 29, 2026, at approximately 1619 hours, the Melbourne Police Department received calls for a vehicle crash near the intersection of S. Harbor City Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue.
The initial crash investigation shows a Black Ford F150, traveling southbound on S. Harbor City Blvd., left the road and struck a concrete pole near the intersection of Roosevelt Ave. Brevard County Fire Rescue responded and transported the driver to a local hospital. The driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced deceased there.
The crash resulted in all southbound lanes being closed for several hours.
