Road Closures for July 4 Events

Firecracker 5K Run/Walk

The following roadways will be closed from 6 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.:

• Highland Avenue, between Eau Gallie Boulevard and St. Clair Street
• Pineapple Avenue at Bud Yeager Drive
• Bud Yeager Drive
• The outside westbound lane of Eau Gallie Boulevard from Highland Avenue to the relief bridge located on the east side of the Eau Gallie Causeway

Fourth of July Parade

The parade will stage at 9 a.m. on Hickory Street north of Fee Avenue, Fee Avenue between McQuaid Street and Oak Street, and in the parking lot of Liberty Bell Museum located at 1601 Oak Street.  

The parade will travel south on Hickory Street crossing Strawbridge Avenue, travel east on New Haven Avenue, and disband at Municipal Lane, Depot Avenue and U.S. Highway 1.  Side streets that intersect with the parade route will be closed and portions of these streets will be available to local traffic only.  

The roads will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

MelBOOM Fireworks Celebration

The following roads will close at 8 p.m. and will remain closed until approximately 10 p.m., depending on the time it takes for pedestrians to safely exit the park:

• Strawbridge Avenue (U.S. 192) from U.S. 1 to Riverside Drive (Indialantic)
• New Haven Avenue from the east side of the Mansion’s driveway to Strawbridge Avenue
• Riverview Drive at Palmetto Avenue
• Front Street at Melbourne Avenue
