Road Closure: N. Riverside Drive, December 3 to Mid-April

Brevard County will be closing Riverside Drive near Sand Dollar Road beginning Wednesday, December 3. The closure is expected to last until mid-April.

Detour signage will be in place to assist drivers. The detour routes are as follows:

  • Southbound Traffic: Eau Gallie Blvd. to Hwy A1A to Paradise Blvd.
  • Northbound Traffic: Paradise Blvd. to Hwy A1A to Eau Gallie Blvd.

Brevard County is closing the roadway for a drainage improvement project located south of Sand Dollar Road and north of the entrance to The Sanctuary neighborhood at Falcon Drive. This critical improvement will strengthen drainage and roadway infrastructure along this high-traffic corridor, enhancing safety and long-term resilience for the community.

The project involves replacing the existing culvert crossing with two new dual 8' x 3' concrete box culverts, along with associated roadway and drainage improvements.
