Historic and Architectural Review Board Meeting and Public Workshop

Calendar icon with text that says

A public workshop will be held immediately after the regular meeting to gather ideas and input on the design and content of an interpretive sign for Line Street Cemetery. (The workshop should begin at or about 6:45 p.m.)

The interpretive sign, a concrete viewing area and new fencing will be funded by a $50,000 grant the City of Melbourne has received from the Florida Division of Historical Resources Abandoned African-American Cemeteries Grant Program.

The Historic and Architectural Review Board recommends local historic designations and regulates and administers historical, cultural, archaeological and architectural resources in the City of Melbourne. It also considers material changes in the exterior appearance of existing buildings located on non-residential property in the City’s redevelopment districts.
