Opt-Out Benefit Incentive

The current policy provides that full-time employees “opting out” of the City’s plan will receive $150 per month, paid semi-monthly. This option must be renewed each year, is not available to part-time employees and is considered taxable income. Proof of insurance coverage under another medical plan is required to participate in the Opt-Out Benefit.
