The Citizens' Advisory Board serves as the formal means through which active citizen participation is provided to aid in the planning, oversight and evaluation of federal -and state- funded housing and community development programs that benefit and improve low- and moderate- income persons and neighborhoods in the City of Melbourne. The board also recommend priorities for allocation of housing and community development program funds for projects, which benefit low- and moderate-income persons, to aid in the elimination or prevention of slums and blight. The board meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber.
