Melbourne Police Arrest Two for Selling Cocaine and Serve Search Warrant in North Melbourne

After an undercover illegal drug sales investigation, The Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the SWAT Team, served a search warrant at 1930 Southland Ave. in Melbourne on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Forty-five-year-old Douglas L. Nelson and 54-year-old Schywanne E. Williams were working together supplying and selling cocaine in North Melbourne. Nelson was charged with sale and possession of cocaine, conspiracy to sell cocaine, unlawful use of a two-way communications device, and violation of parole. Williams was charged with sale and possession of cocaine, conspiracy to sell cocaine, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. Detectives located and seized a small quantity of cocaine and currency during the execution of the search warrant at 1930 Southland Avenue.
