Two New Members Sought for the Beautification and Energy Efficiency Board
The City of Melbourne is accepting applications for two positions on the Beautification and Energy Efficiency Board:
- A City of Melbourne resident with a background in economic development or business, including facilities management and energy efficiency.
- A business owner who owns a business located inside the City of Melbourne. This member does not need to live in Melbourne.
The seven-member board makes recommendations to the City Council concerning affordable strategies associated with conservation, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. The board is charged with developing an environmental sustainability plan relating to city operations with a goal of achieving 100% clean energy by 2035.
Interested applicants should complete an application and submit it to the City Clerk’s Office no later than April 26.
