Traffic Shift: Hickory Street, Oct. 22

On October 22, the center bidirectional turn lane on Hickory St. between Hibiscus Boulevard and just north of Sheridan Road will be eliminated, and the two-way traffic will be shifted to the east. Pedestrian traffic will have the same crossings as before the change.

The intersection of Oak Street and Hickory Street will remain closed to thru traffic part of the Hickory Street Complete Streets Project. The full closure is expected to last through the fall of 2018.

Drivers will be able to access all businesses and parking lots on Hickory Street north and south of the Oak Street intersection.

  • Access to businesses on Hickory Street NORTH of the Oak Street closure will be available from NASA Boulevard only.
  • Access to businesses on Hickory Street SOUTH of the Oak Street closure will be available from Hibiscus Boulevard only.

All thru traffic will be detoured from NASA Boulevard, Apollo Boulevard and Hibiscus Boulevard and vice versa per the map below:
