ICMA Recognizes Melbourne City Manager with Longevity Award
Melbourne City Manager Mike McNees received a 30-year service award from International City/County Management Association (ICMA) during a special ceremony on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, as part of the 104th ICMA Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD.
ICMA Local Government Service Awards recognize and celebrate members’ dedication to public service and professional management at the local level. Awards are based on the number of years of full-time employment in local government.
McNees was recognized for his 30-year career in local government leadership. In addition to his present position as Melbourne City Manager, he has also served as County Administrator for Blaine County, Idaho, and was the City Manager of Sarasota, Florida. Earlier in his career he held several management positions in Collier County, Florida, including six years as Assistant County Manager/COO.
