High school diploma or GED required. Experience in semi-skilled manual labor and the use and operation of heavy diesel or gasoline powered equipment and trucks. Position requires applicant to obtain and maintain a valid Florida Department of Transportation Approved Maintenance of Traffic Intermediate Certification by the end of the 6 month probationary period. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class “B” Commercial Driver's license with air brake endorsement. Applicants who possess an out of state driver’s license must obtain the Florida license within 10 days of employment. Must have experience in the operation of a backhoe, loader and dump truck and pass a written and skills test. Applicant will be required to pass a skills test demonstrating the operation of a concrete truck, asphalt truck, skid steer, slope mower, flail mower, and street sweeper by the end of the 6 month probationary period.
