Providing Community Services

The Public Works and Utilities Department is responsible for providing many basic services that are critical to the well-being of the community.

The City is a regional provider of drinking water and must ensure that an abundant, safe, and affordable supply is available.

Utility system advisories, including precautionary boil water notices, and mandatory irrigation rules can be accessed from this page.

The wastewater collection and treatment system must serve an expanding community while complying with all environmental standards.  The treatment system includes the production of reclaimed water that is provided to a portion of the community for use in irrigation.

Other departmental work areas range from streets and stormwater management to the maintenance of city facilities and municipal vehicles.
REPORT AFTER-HOURS water or sewer emergencies by calling 321-255-4622. For a water main break or sewer backups during work hours (Mon. - Fri. 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) call the Water & Sewer Operations office at 321-674-5726.
