Household Trash
Mainland garbage is collected on Tuesday and Friday. Beachside, garbage is collected on Wednesday and Saturday.

Set-out Rules:   Place garbage curbside between 5 p.m. on the day before collection and 6:30 a.m. on collection day. Place garbage within four feet of the curb or edge of street surface, and adjacent to the driveway. Please DO NOT block the use of sidewalks.

Use containers with two handles or disposable plastic bags. Containers must not be any larger than 40-gallons in capacity and not exceed 50 pounds when filled, since they are lifted manually.

Bulk items such as appliances and furniture will be picked up at the curb on designated garbage days. For safety, please be sure to remove the doors from all appliances before setting them out. For tire collection please call Waste Management at 723-4455 to schedule a pickup. Please place only four automobile tires out at a time. The rims must be removed.

Due to the federal Clean Air Act, refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units, and water coolers must be collected separately. Call Waste Management at 723-4455 to schedule pickup of these items. 

Household Hazardous Waste:  Paint, automotive fluids, pool chemicals, and pesticides, are not collected with your regular garbage.  To properly dispose of these items, you can take them to the Sarno Landfill, located at 3379 Sarno Road.  The Household Hazardous Waste Collection site is open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  For more information, call (321) 255-4365.

Electronic Waste:  Residents can bring computers, televisions, printers, scanners, and other e-waste for recycling or to be refurbished to:
