Greater Melbourne Police Athletic League

The Greater Melbourne Police Athletic League is a youth athletic and activities organization.  A Melbourne Police Officer serves as Executive Director.   P.A.L. became a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization in 1999.

P.A.L. develops discipline, self-esteem, and positive moral values while encouraging achievement and personal accountability.   P.A.L. has been proven to reduce youth crime, violence, alcohol use, and drug use.

The mission of P.A.L. is to foster a closer relationship between law enforcement officers and the youth of our community, and to promote cooperation between youth and law enforcement officers while building understanding, respect, and trust.

Victims Fundraiser.  $1,067 given to Red Cross.

2006 P.A.L. Track Team
Greater Melbourne P.A.L. programs include youth basketball, football, and cheerleading, as well as mentoring in drug awareness education.
