Tennis Courts and Activities

The Leisure Services Department operates two tennis complexes.  Among the tennis opportunities available to the community are Tennis Lessons and Events and Leagues and Tournaments.

Registration, Associations and Leagues

Registration & Reservations: Registrations for classes will be held at the tennis courts on a first-come, first-served basis.  Court reservations may be made by annual pass holders in person or by calling the Pro Shop 24 hours in advance.

Melbourne Women’s Tennis Association:  Come join the women at Fee Avenue for fun doubles, ladder, quads, mixed doubles, and inter-club matches.   They meet, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings as well as one Sunday afternoon a month.  Please call Joan Kundis at 733-0061 for more information.

Senior Men at Fee:  Come join in the open play Monday through Friday morning at Fee Avenue.  Four courts are reserved for doubles from sunrise until 9:30 each morning and everyone is welcome.  Daily fee or membership fee required.  Please call Fee Aveniue at 674-5720 for more information.

Space Coast Tennis League:  The Space Coast Tennis League offers women’s, senior’s, men’s, and mixed doubles teams at both Fee Avenue and Jimmy Moore.  Please go on their web site or call 674-5720 for more details. www.spacecoasttennis.com

Space Coast Tennis Association:  The SCTA is a not-for-profit organization serving South Brevard. It’s mission is to promote and encourage Junior Team Tennis in South Brevard. Dedicated tennis professionals provide programs that serve youths ages 8 to 18 with skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. The activities are offered year-round. USTA Leagues:  The USTA offers women’s, men’s and mixed doubles leagues at both Fee Avenue and Jimmy Moore.  Please visit their web site or call 674-5720 for more information. www.usatennisflorida.usta.com

JR. Team Tennis (8-14 years):  Melbourne’s Junior Team Tennis is a fun summer program for kids.  This program has been in Melbourne since 1976 and boasts that 75% of the high school players in South Brevard have come through this program. The only requirement to join is to know how to keep score and serve from the baseline. Play starts on June 9 and runs until August 6.  Play is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Cost is $65.00 per child for the season.  All children must be registered in order to participate.  For information and registration call 674-5720.
