| Operation of the Carver
Park Community Center has been transfered
to the Greater
Melbourne Police Athletic League, which is a youth athletic and
activities organization.
P.A.L. became a 501(c)3 not-for-profit
organization in 1999. Greater Melbourne P.A.L. programs include youth
basketball, football, and cheerleading, as well as mentoring in drug
awareness education. A Melbourne Police Officer serves as Executive
Director of the organization.
