The City of Melbourne will present an Independence Day Fireworks display at 9 p.m. on Monday, July 4, over the Indian River Lagoon at Claude Edge Front Street Park, 2210 Front Street, just north of the Melbourne Causeway. The fireworks display is funded by generous contributions to the Melbourne Community Fireworks Fund by individuals, groups, businesses, and local governments. No daytime activities are planned at the park.

Because parking is limited in the vicinity of the park, a free shuttle bus service is to operate from the Melbourne Auditorium beginning at 7:10 p.m. A complete schedule is provided below. The Auditorium is located at 625 Hibiscus Boulevard.

The City co-sponsors an Independence Day parade to be presented by Honor America Inc. in Historic Downtown Melbourne at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 4. The parade is to begin near the railroad tracks and travel westward on New Haven Avenue to Oak Street, then northward to Honor America's Liberty Bell Museum.
