Foundation Inspection: to be made after necessary excavations have been made,
forms erected, and reinforcing steel placed. Compaction report will
be required anytime fill material exceeds 12". All fill must be clean
and free of organic material. |

Pile Inspection: to be
made during the driving of the piles and after all piles are driven and
forms and reinforcing steel are in place and tied, and before placing any
concrete. |
|
|
 |
Reinforcing Inspection: to
be made after any reinforcing steel is in place and before placing
concrete. |
|
|
 |
Roof Truss, Bracing, and Sheathing
Inspection: to be made after placement of panels or planking and
prior to application of base or anchor coat of roofing. Exception: Sheathing, not to exceed 200 sq. ft. and replaced in the course of
re-roofing, does not need to be inspected as part of the mandatory
inspection. |

Tie Beam/Lintel Inspection: to
be made prior to placement of any concrete, all forms in place, all steel
in place, properly tied, and supported. |
|
|
 |
Framing/Firestopping Inspection: to be made at each floor level and after all framing, fire blocking,
firestopping, furring, and bracing are in place, and plumbing, mechanical,
and electrical work are roughed in. This inspection will also include tie
down and uplift connectors properly installed and in place. |
|
|
 |
Roofing Inspection: to be
made in accordance with Chapter 15 FBC. Roof dry-in inspection required
prior to application of final roof product. Roof final inspection will be
required upon completion of roof. |
|
|
 |
Curtain Wall Inspection: to
be made at each floor level after curtain walls are installed and before
curtain wall attachments are concealed. |
|
|
 |
Store Front Inspection: to
be made after store fronts are installed and before store front
attachments are concealed. |
|
|
 |
Window and Glass Door Inspection: to be made after windows and glass doors are installed and before
attachments and connections to the building frame are concealed. Exception: this inspection shall not be required for one and two story buildings. |

|
 |
Lathing, Firewall, Drywall
Inspection: to be made of all fire rated walls, partitions, and
ceilings after lathing and/or drywall are in place, but before any
plastering, where plastering is a requirement for fire protection, or
where suspended overhead and before covering of screws, where drywall is
required for fire protection. |

|
 |
Plumbing Inspection: to
be made of the ground work and at each floor. All plumbing work shall be
left uncovered and convenient for examination until inspected and
approved. Floors shall be left up in all bathrooms and elsewhere above all
sanitary plumbing, water-supply piping, and other plumbing work until it
shall have been examined, tested, and approved. |

Electrical Inspection: to
be made at each floor level; and no conduit boxes, panels or other
electrical appurtenances shall be covered or concealed until approval
shall have been received from the Building Official. |
|
|
 |
Mechanical Inspection: to
be made of all mechanical installation at each floor. Mechanical work
shall be left uncovered until inspected and approved. |
|
|
 |
Gas Inspection: to be
made at each floor level, piping in place and tested at 20 P.S.I. for 24
hours or to pipe manufacturer’s specifications, venting in place with
1" (one inch) minimum to any combustibles, piping or venting shall
not be covered until it has been examined, tested, and approved. |

|
 |
Above Ceiling Inspection: to
be made at each floor level, all trades above ceiling line ( including
Fire Protection) in place, grid ceiling in place, no tiles in place (with
the exception of tiles with trade fixtures installed), ceiling tile shall
not be installed until above ceiling area has been inspected, tested, and
approved. |

Insulation Inspection: to
be made at each floor level, building envelope will be inspected and
approved for installation of insulating material prior to application of
any wall/ceiling lathing or dry wall. Insulation material, required to
obtain a U/L design rating, will be inspected and approved prior to cover
up. |

 |
Fire Protection System
Inspections: to be made at each floor level. All Fire Protection
Systems shall remain uncovered and convenient for examination until
inspected and approved. Fire Protection System shall include but not be
limited to Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Fire
Extinguisher Systems, Fire Pumps, Standpipe Systems, and placement of fire
hydrants. |

Swimming Pool Inspections: to be made prior to pouring any concrete or covering any in ground
supports. All electrical ground and service connections shall be left open
for inspection and approval. Placement of reinforcing steel shall be
properly placed and tied in position, final inspection will include 4'
(four foot) fence or screen enclosure with self-closing/latching doors or
gates. Proper yard drainage and resodding will be required. Broken
sidewalks required to be replaced prior to final inspection. |

Mobile Home/Construction Trailer
Inspection: to be made prior to occupancy of any mobile
home/construction trailer. All trades complete and left accessible for
inspection and approval. Substantial landing and stairs to ground level to
be in place. Proper unit identification posted on structure. Unit will
also have to be properly tied down and supported. |

Site Concrete Inspection: to
be made prior to placement of any concrete for driveway or sidewalk.
Driveway apron concrete to be minimum 6" (six inches) deep from
back of curb to property line. No welded wire fabric to be placed in
right of way. No water meters or sewer clean outs placed in pour
area. If sidewalk encroaches on private property
(residential), a sidewalk easement shall be obtained from City of
Melbourne Engineering Department. All commercial driveways and sidewalks
will be inspected by city of Melbourne Engineering Department. |

Landscaping/Irrigation
Inspections: to be inspected and approved prior to issuing
certificate of occupancy. |
|
|
 |
Special or Other Inspection: to be made of all signs, awnings, fences, and other appurtenances as
required, or as the Building Official may reasonably request. |
|
|
 |
Final Inspection: to be
made, for each trade, after the work is completed and the structure ready
for use or occupancy. |
|
|
| No work shall be done on any part of a
building or structure or any plumbing, electrical or mechanical
installation beyond the point indicated herein above for each successive
inspection until such inspection has been made, the work has been
approved, and the inspector has so indicated on the approved plans or
permit card at the job site. |

| No reinforcing steel or structure framework
of any part of any building or structure shall be covered or concealed in
any manner whatsoever without the approval of the Building Official. |
