Volunteers Wanted for Key Advisory Boards
The City of Melbourne is seeking applications from interested citizens who wish to get more actively involved in local government by serving on a municipal advisory board. Board members have the opportunity to take on leadership roles and contribute ideas and suggestions to projects and assignments that help shape policy and benefit the citizens of the City of Melbourne.

- Affordable Housing Advisory Committee: Seeking a person who is a representative of labor and a person who is a for-profit provider of affordable housing. Melbourne residency is not a requirement for these positions.
- Babcock Street Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Committee: Must be a resident of Melbourne or engaged in business within the Babcock Street Community Redevelopment Area.
- Code Enforcement Board: Must be a Melbourne resident.
- Historic and Architectural Review Board: Members are required to have a background in either architecture, history, architectural history, planning, prehistoric and historic archaeology, landscape architecture, real estate, or general/building contracting. Melbourne residency is preferred but not required.
