Halloween Events in the City of Melbourne

The City of Melbourne will be hosting a variety of family-friendly Halloween events this month.

Halloween Family Fun

Fun-filled family event with costume contests, music, carnival style games, snacks, prizes and more. Make sure to purchase your tickets early so you don’t miss out on all the fun!

When: Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Where: Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Ave., Melbourne
Cost: $5 per person. Kids 2 years and under are FREE with paid adult. Tickets can be purchased at the Eau Gallie Civic Center through 10/19 at 8 p.m. No ticket sales at the door.

Halloween Adult Flashlight Pumpkin Hunt

Join us for the great Pumpkin Hunt and feel like a kid again! Don’t forget to bring your flashlight and a bag or basket. Search for those special pumpkins/eggs --  with the challenge of zombies in your way -- for a chance to win a prize! Munchies and drinks will be provided.

When:  Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Ave., Melbourne
Cost: $10 Per Person Purchase tickets in advance only at the Eau Gallie Civic Center.

Fall Festival

Kids (ages 2-12) come out and join us for a spooky night of face painting, arts and crafts, hair painting, monster tattooing, carnival games and a costume contest.
Refreshments will be served.

When: Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Where: Lipscomb Community Center, 3316 Monroe St., Melbourne
Cost: $3 per child

Melbourne Police Department Trunk or Treat

Bring the kids for a safe, family-friendly afternoon of Halloween fun with the Melbourne Police Department! Officers will be decorating their trunks in different Halloween themes for kids to enjoy. The vehicles will be set up in the front parking lot of Melbourne City Hall where officers will be giving away candy to kids. Many of the businesses across the street in Downtown Melbourne will also participating by handing out candy at their stores.

When: Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: Melbourne City Hall front parking lot, 900 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne
Cost: Free

Fire Truck Trick or Treat

Melbourne Fire Department is hosting a special Halloween open house on October 28. There will be fire prevention activities along with a Fire Truck Trick or Treat for the children. Check out fire engines and rescue vehicles, learn fire prevention through hands-on activities and see a First Flight helicopter landing and demonstration.

When: Oct. 28, 2017, Noon – 3 p.m.
Where: Melbourne Fire Department Station 74, 1500 S. Hickory St., Melbourne
