CASE NUMBER : MP17-53502

Event: Warrant Sweep - UPDATE

Date and Time: August 17, 2017

Location: Various locations in and around Melbourne

The multi-agency, multi-level investigation that began yesterday morning which included officers from the Melbourne Police Department, deputies from BCSO, West Melbourne PD SIU, the Game Over Task Force and agents from the Border Patrol, DEA and BPR has culminated in a total of 22 arrests and seizure of a gun, ammunition, drugs, illegally obtained cigarettes and drug paraphernalia.

Guns, ammunition, drugs, illegally obtained cigarettes and drug paraphernalia seized in warrant sweep.

This was an investigation of local convenience stores who have condoned illicit and criminal activity on their property. These stores have helped create cascading problems of drugs sales, drug use, violence and other crimes that have plagued the adjacent neighborhoods. The operation is ongoing.

During the press conference this morning, Chief Gillespie, DEA ASAC Jeffrey Walsh, and Lt Scott Mostert provided details about the lengthy investigation and stressed the importance of community involvement and inter-agency cooperation.

We are actively looking for the remaining 16 wanted persons. If you know the location of any of the below pictured persons please contact Melbourne PD at 321-608-MPD1 (6731).
