Planning & Zoning Board, Eau Gallie Advisory Committee Seek New Members

The City of Melbourne is now accepting applications from volunteers who want to serve on the Olde Eau Gallie Riverfront CRA Advisory Committee and the Planning and Zoning Board.

The Olde Eau Gallie Riverfront Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council for the Olde Eau Gallie Riverfront Community Redevelopment Area. The duties include preparation of recommend plans and modifications for redevelopment in the area. Volunteers must be registered voters and must be a residents of the City of Melbourne or engaged in business in the redevelopment area (owning a business, practicing a profession, performing a service for compensation, or serving as an officer of director of a corporation or other business entity). The committee meets at 8 a.m. on the second Thursday in January, March, May, July, September and November at the Eau Gallie Civic Center.

The Planning & Zoning Board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on questions relating to zoning, comprehensive planning and land use and conducts investigations on matters or proposals to change zoning and land development regulations. Volunteers must be registered voters and must be residents of the City of Melbourne. The board meets the first and third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Melbourne City Hall.
