Melbourne Police Take Drugs and Guns off the Streets

CASE #’S 17-46767, 17-47209, & 17-48938

At the culmination of an extensive investigation targeting drug related crimes, the Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, with the assistance of the SWAT Team, served a narcotics search warrant at 811 Calloway Ln. The investigation revealed drug sales and use were occurring at the residence. Multiple controlled drug buy operations were conducted, which resulted in numerous drug sales charges. One arrest was made, others are pending. The arrested, B/M, Claude Osbourne was currently out on bond for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and trafficking in a controlled substance. Brevard County #05-2017-CF-017180-AXXX-XX.
6 grams of heroin, cash and two firearms were seized. One of the firearms, a .380 Ruger LCP was confirmed to have been stolen in a during a 2015 Melbourne auto burglary (15-67478). The second firearm is a .45 cal. Kahr semi auto. See below for photos and related charges.
