Volunteers Needed to Serve on Code Enforcement Board
The City of Melbourne is seeking volunteers to serve on the Code Enforcement Board.
The Code Enforcement Board promotes, protects, and improves the health, safety and welfare of citizens; enhances property values by enforcing city codes; applies appropriate remedies; and promotes compliance. Activities include the imposition of fines and other non-criminal penalties where a pending or repeated violation continues to exist.
The Code Enforcement Board meets approximately every six weeks at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber.
Applicants must be registered voters who are residents of the City of Melbourne.
