Police Memorial ceremony at Melbourne, Florida Police Department headquarters
A MEMORIAL CEREMONY at the Melbourne Police Department headquarters included a moment of silence in observance of law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. A wreath was placed at a memorial bench that carries the name of Officer Joseph Pellicano, who died in 1986 after being hit by a vehicle while directing traffic. The ceremony was part of National Police Week.
